I guess you noticed…

I guess you guys have noticed it has been forever since I posted. Since Billy passed away suddenly 12/14/2017 I’ve been in a blur. 2018 has passed without me realizing how much I have missed my friends here. Please excuse the lapse and with hopes for a better posting habit in 2019.

Today (Jan 7, 2019) would have been my 17th anniversary so I wrote this for my facebook page:

“Happy Anniversary in Heaven Billy!!!

On a Monday 17 years ago I got married. I can remember it was Monday because we woke up to a huge snow and Billy wasn’t going to drive to Cool Springs to work so he said why don’t we get married today? So I said that I hadn’t ask off for work so I’ll need to go in and work 1/2 day. So he took me to work and I asked off at noon. We went to the Clerks office Ruth Ann Woolbright and she performed the service. Had lunch at Raffertys (sort of where Cheddars is now) and made it home in time for Monday Night Football…

When I came into work on Tuesday a coworker who was also a County Commissioner at the time asked why we didn’t ask him to perform the service and I said “Well you weren’t here yesterday!” May seem like spur of the moment but we had been discussing marriage for quite a while and it turned out to be the longest relationship I’ve had.”

Some things will never be the same for me. This is the second time I have lost a long-term relationship in death. So we must take care to remember the people we love and accept apologies for those like me, who have not stayed in touch with my friends all over the world.

I love you all and hope to hear from all of you soon!!!

  1. Welcome back to the blogosphere!

  2. Welcome back, my dear friend. This is life. Some come and some go. All we can do is to go on and remember them in our prayers…. We are here for you 🙂
